Last Documented

The last documented record appears to be a juvenile that was mist-netted in April 2009 in the Nakanai Mountains during a series of Rapid Biological Assessments of the Nakanai Mountains and the upper Strickland Basin on New Britain. This bird was photographed by Cheyne Benjamin, and also collected as a specimen (Australian National Wildlife Collection, ANWC B52372).
